I live in a province that has a number of lakes, and friends that have cottages by these lakes. I’ve visited them at their private oasis and am envious of this getaway that’s within driving distance. The lake cottage is a peaceful retreat that offers up privacy, or if you feel sociable, an inviting close knit community that will stop by for a drink and a game or two of your choosing outdoors– or hold a fundraiser if you’re in need.
